2 bedroom cabin on a cliff over the French Broad River near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Hot Springs, Asheville, Great Smokie Mountains National Park

Overview

You have never stayed anywhere like this. Built on a cliff overlooking the French Broad River, you can see miles of mountains for more than 180 degrees from inside the cabin and from 3 decks on different levels. Ride an electric lift down the cliff or walk the stairs to the cabin.

The cabin is on two levels overlooking the French Broad River. Each bedroom has phenomenal expansive views of the mountains as you look down literally over the river more than 100 feet below! Catch your breath as you walk out onto one of the cantilevered decks.

The kitchen and living room on the first floor have equally breathtaking views!

Each floor boasts of a full bathroom with showers and sit-down tubs. Large, exposed timber ceilings and tongue-in-grooved walls and floors gives it the handcrafted feel that one expects from a mountain cabin. Anyone that does woodwork cannot help but be impressed with the massive Timber stairs between the floors.

From every living space including the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms, you are surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.  You will want to stay home sip your coffee and drink in the view while you relax to the sound of the French Broad River slipping by far below.

The house is fully equipped with laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen.  If you want to tube or swim in the river there is a neighbor who will allow you access to their beach.  Ask for details. Guests may use the electric lift or stairs to get to the cabin, which sits on a cliff. Hiking is not allowed.

We are a couple with four children and a love for the Smoky Mountains. We are developing a hospitality business in the Smoky Mountains, including luxury cabins, small cabins, and a glamping campground (HospitableHomes.com) We have a passion for travel; having explored Mexico and Central and South America, we aspire to visit Europe, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Our homeschooled children go with us wherever we go. As followers of Jesus, we believe in the Biblical principle of hospitality and aim to embody it in our business and personal lives. We like the out of doors but hate the heat. We should probably live in Alaska. We try to live life to its fullest with our kids in tow.
